Take-Two Interactive issued a press release today with the announcement that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be making its way to the PSP later this fall. The PSP version will feature upscaled widescreen graphics, enhanced lighting and animation, and all-new story missions. Chinatown Wars will be available both on UMD and as a digital download on the PSN store. Due to the lack of sales of the DS version, it was only a matter of time before this got ported to another platform. I had a really good time with Chinatown Wars and I hope it performs better on the PSP.

In his latest podcast, Major Nelson confirmed an improved 360 dashboard is being worked on at Microsoft for a release later this year. While exact details of the enhancements are not yet known, the biggest one has to be on the performance side. Other “very cool new features” were mentioned, which are most likely a lot of the new additions we heard about at E3 a few weeks ago. Personally I would just like Microsoft to finally add the Netflix party support. Also, whatever happened to Live Anywhere?

fat_princess_logo1One of my most anticipated games of the year has been delayed once again. The last we heard was that a June release was to be expected, however sadly this is not the case. Mike Keeby has made a post on the European Playstation blog stating, “Fat Princess will have a global release date, but I can confirm for you it will not be next week I’m afraid. The game is coming at some point this summer, but there is no confirmed release date at the moment.” Being what could quite possibly be the biggest release so far on the PSN it makes sense Sony would want to give it more time in development. Here’s hoping the wait isn’t that much longer.

2009-06-22_14-32-01580Get ready to mark your calendars fighting fans because Tekken 6 is coming your way October 27th. Namco Bandi has also announced a Tekken 6 Fight Stick Bundle which comes with a Hori wireless fight stick, an art book, as well as the game for $149.99. Since I’m not a fan of the fighting genre, do we really need a new arcade stick whenever a new fighting game comes out? Also confirmed is the inclusion of the Cardboard Tube Samurai as part of a pre-order only Penny Arcade “Samuari Park” exclusive to Gamestop. The Cardboard Tube Samurai will not be a playable character, instead it will be a costume for Yoshimitsu.
